Local & International Missions Opportunities:

 Church of the Highlands is privileged to support the following missions. These outstanding organizations and groups are always seeking volunteers and donations.

Gardere Lane  - ( C.J. Aulet ) Our goal for the Gardere Lane Outreach is to build long term relationships by hosting "family get togethers" every 5-6 weeks.  We cook food and  provide entertainment for the kids in order to have a non-threatening yet meaningful encounter.   As we continue to get to know our neighbors in that area, we can better serve their needs and ultimately help share God's love with the community.

RETURNING HEARTS CELEBRATION - Angola State Penitentiary 03-28-2009

A ministry of Awana International, RHC is a very special day that reunites inmate fathers and their children, offering them time to develop or restore their relationship while enjoying a carnival of rides, games, and fun activities on the grounds of Angola, as well as a Gospel presentation. Because children with a parent in prison are 7 times more likely to commit crimes themselves, this unique program seeks to break that cycle by equipping inmate dads to positively impact their children.

Many of us enjoyed a wonderful graduation time with the Malachi Dads and an incredible worship service with the inmate dads that would be participating in the celebration the next day!
