Youth Ministry

COH Youth Group

Church of the Highlands Youth Group exists to bring students front and center with the truth of God’s word in contrast to the lies of this world and to encourage them to take an “one-eighty” turn to glorify God through obedience.

We seek to accomplish this by connecting in a small group bible study and discipleship, large group worship, annual events, and service projects.

 What your youth will learn:

1. Having Healthy Friendships. The friends we choose will affect what we think and where we go.

2. Making Wise Choices. Our flesh often rides the line of right and wrong, God asks us to use wisdom in our decisions.

3. Creating Moral Boundaries. Our lives are to glorify God. When we ask ourselves “how far is too far” we are already heading the wrong direction.

4. Making Others First. What separates Christians from the world is our love for one another. Putting others first is just one way to show God’s love to the world.

5. Living Authentic Faith. We believe that Jesus asks us to surrender all. Authentic faith is not about how you look, it is about who you are.

6. Submitting to our Ultimate Authority. As Christ followers, we should put ourselves under the authority of God and all the leadership that God has put into our lives

7. Having Spiritual Disciplines. Being a Christ follower is more than showing up to church on Sunday, it is a lifestyle. Reading God’s word, praying, meditation, fasting, serving, fellowship, etc. are all disciplines that help us grow and walk in our faith.
